Job Description

NOVA Engineering is seeking a Full-Time Certified Welding Inspector for projects throughout the Florida Panhandle area with some travel throughout Florida. This position will be based from our Tallahassee or Panama City Beach office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Primary duties include performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.).

Responsibilities:

• Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
• Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met.
• Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
• Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
• Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
• Input results and observations into daily reports

Requirements:

• Current AWS CWI with Structural and/or Bridge Experience AND NDT Level II UT Shearwave and Magnetic Particle Testing. PAUT (Phased Array) experience is a plus

OR

• Current AWS CWI with Structural and/or Bridge Experience AND NACE Level II and/or Level III

OR

• Current AWS CWI with Structural and/or Bridge Experience AND ICC Structural Steel and Bolting (with the initiative to get ICC Firestopping Cert)
