Overview

The Senior Banker SAFE Act is a strategic professional who stays updated with the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their role and the business. Recognized as a subject matter expert within their area, they possess strong commercial awareness and are acknowledged authorities both within and outside their area of expertise. They typically provide expertise comparable to a small group within the business. Excellent communication skills are essential for negotiating internally, often at a senior level, and some external communication is also required. They conduct in-depth quantitative or qualitative analysis to solve problems and develop innovative solutions, thinking beyond existing solutions or current knowledge in sophisticated areas.

Responsibilities

  • Identify prospects, establish contact, and convert prospects into clients.
  • Understand clients’ businesses and sources of wealth generation.
  • Anticipate significant financial events in clients’ lives and businesses.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic financial advice.
  • Build long-term relationships with client families across generations.
  • Manage client expectations regarding feasible actions.
  • Ensure financial strategies align with client goals and risk tolerance.
  • Uncover unarticulated client needs.
  • Collaborate with product experts to develop long-term solutions.
  • Assist clients in achieving financial and investment goals.
  • Create tailored solutions for investment, risk management, and liquidity needs.
  • Set and monitor challenging goals, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Prioritize activities to maximize revenue and satisfaction.
  • Develop a referral network and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Close deals with appropriate concessions.
  • Mentor team members to build credibility with clients and intermediaries.
  • Foster team success, encouraging collaboration to deepen client relationships.
  • Leverage team members' skills for maximum client effectiveness.
  • Build relationships with internal partners and support groups.
  • Follow procedures, advocate for exceptions when appropriate, and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain strong controls and operational effectiveness.
  • Model professional behavior and integrity.
  • Partner across Citi to leverage capabilities and share expertise.
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Prioritize and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Report illegal or improper transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in private banking or related fields.
  • Proven experience with UHNW clients, leading client teams, and relationship selling.
  • Extensive knowledge of Citi Private Bank systems, platforms, and tools.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Additional Details
