Job Description

Intern (Quality Assurance)

Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking an Intern on our VA Operations team. As an Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the operations and management of our organization, while working closely with our QA Team to ensure the quality of our services by conducting audits, completing projects and identifying areas of improvements.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records on all assigned projects
  • Observe operations and identify areas of learning opportunities
  • Review workflow activities
  • Work with managers on projects, observe and learn project management skills
  • Assist supervisor in reviewing daily performance metrics
  • Work with Operations Manager to perform a variety of tasks that support operations
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required qualifications include:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Actively studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field i.e. healthcare, project management, operations management
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills; as well as ability to process analytics
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, drive and initiative
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus
  • Experience with MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service, organization and computer skills
  • An ability to utilize proper telephone etiquette and scheduling skills
  • An ability to multi-task in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • An ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times
  • Working knowledge of web-based and electronic communications
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • An ability to foster excellent relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization

Additional information:

  • Location: Remote Anywhere except California and Alaska
  • Shift: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (Must Work Eastern Standard Time)
