Jr. UX Designer: Job Description This is an entry-level role with a focus on web design. While experience in all areas listed below is not required, training is provided on all core platforms, tools, and technologies. However, having the following skills and experience will give you a strong head start: Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design, web design, UX, or a related field.
  • GPA above 3.4
  • Excellent graphic design skills with a strong emphasis on web design.
  • A portfolio showcasing your design work is required.
  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals (typography, hierarchy, layout, etc.).
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Outstanding skills in Adobe Creative Suite and/or Figma.
  • Knowledge of web design/UX best practices.
  • HTML/CSS coding experience.
  • Experience working with WordPress or other content management systems.
  • Part-time/summer job/internship experience.
  • Enjoyment in creating beautiful, memorable advertisements, website UI/UX, and online graphics.
  • Passion for typography and color theory.
  • High level of design skill and technical proficiency.
  • Energetic about designing memorable and effective online experiences.
  • Ability to take direction while also taking initiative and making decisions.
  • Interest in the web and staying up-to-date on new technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with project managers and other team members to design websites, advertisements, and marketing pieces for clients.
  • Test and edit websites to ensure the best possible user experience.
  • Perform minimal site edits while learning HTML and CSS.
A Typical Day Might Include:
  • 10% Performing minimal site edits using HTML and CSS (training provided).
  • 20% Creating online promotional and branding materials (article support graphics, infographics, etc.).
  • 20% Creating social media branding and identity.
  • 25% Creating online advertisements.
  • 25% Designing user interfaces (homepages, landing pages, interior page layouts, mobile mockups, etc.).

Compensation: $44,000 – $46,500 (potentially higher based on work experience) Job Submission Requirements:
