As we continue to expand, we are searching for a Photonics Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital part of our component testing, laboratory management, and logistics, contributing directly to the advancement of groundbreaking photonic technologies. You will work alongside our engineers, engaging in the hands-on testing of cutting-edge photonic integrated circuits. Responsibilities Perform precise measurements on photonic integrated circuits and maintain detailed records of test data. Collaborate with engineers to refine and improve measurement techniques. Support the management of materials, including inventory control and handling specialized photonic components. Assist with logistics, including preparing and packaging materials for shipment to clients and partners. Contribute to maintaining and organizing lab facilities and equipment, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace. Requirements Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (Electronics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience in a related industry. Previous experience as a Test Technician is desired. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a well-ordered workspace. Desire and capacity to work collaboratively with our team to improve our measurement systems and capabilities. Familiarity with common laboratory equipment used in electronics or photonics settings, such as oscilloscopes, lasers, and power supplies. Interest in photonics and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies. Some familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, would be helpful in reading or writing simple test scripts. Authorization to work in the US is required.
