Job Description

Senior Web Developer/SharePoint Designer

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Senior Web Developer/SharePoint Designer to join our team on an upcoming contract to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Information Systems Division (ISD) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The USCG ALC ISD provides development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) IT support for products and services for the Coast Guard Information Officer (CIO), Commandant, and Coast Guard Cyber Command through a geo-dispersed workforce including military, civilians, and contractor personnel committed to supporting the USCG's missions and requirements of the leading growing interconnectivity, increased reliance on data and networks, and development of commercial space and artificial intelligence systems.

Position is on-site with off-site capabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Web Developer/SharePoint Designer include:

  • Design, create, and modify Web sites.
  • Analyze user needs to implement Web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity.
  • May integrate Web sites with other computer applications.
  • May convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible Web formats by using software designed to facilitate the creation of Web and multimedia content.
  • Designs and develops SharePoint systems to accomplish functions in an optimum manner.
  • Develops plans for systems from project inception to completion.
  • Analyzes the problem and the information to be processed and defines the solution.
  • Designs and builds user interfaces for SharePoint sites using a variety of techniques, and tools.
  • Ensures that the "look and feel" supports the organization's strategies and goals and facilitates user interaction with the system.
  • SharePoint Development experience preferred.
  • Supporting the organization by implementing SharePoint solutions within the environment and working with key stakeholders throughout the development process.
  • Designing and developing workflows, lists, forms, and dashboards.
  • Designing Documentation, Content Migration, Testing, Deployment and User Training.
  • Ensuring SharePoint site standardization via site and content templates, metadata tagging, workflows, and reporting.
  • Communicating effectively with customers on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responding to user-initiated help desk tickets and provide resolution to issues as required.
  • Maintaining and refining permissions and SharePoint groups to assist lead developer on ensuring proper security controls are in place

Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or at minimum IT Certification. Note: Six (6) years' experience is equivalent to three (3) years of education.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a System Modeling Tool.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience with Ingres relational database software, SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle relational database software. Experience in principles, practices, or procedures used in phases of application/system lifecycle development, engineering, programming, and/or analysis.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience with Procedure Language/SQL and stored procedures and triggers.
  • Six (6) years of experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
