Phillip's Towing Service Company is actively seeking a skilled Tow Truck Driver/Operator. Must have tow truck experience and LIVE WITHIN 30 MINUTES of FAYETTEVILLE, NC (28301). This role involves providing reliable and efficient towing services in Eastern North Carolina.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid NC license
  • Stay within 30 minutes of Fayetteville, NC (28301)
  • Clean driving history
  • No felonies to meet Hazmat requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment DOT physical examination, DOT drug test, and Clearinghouse, and comply with applicable FMCSA regulations.
  • Flexibility to work a rotational on-call schedule for after-hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage stressful situations calmly, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to designated locations.
  • Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck using a flatbed or other towing equipment.
  • Safely secure vehicles to the tow truck to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the tow truck.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting stranded motorists and ensuring the safe transportation of their vehicles.
  • Perform basic jumpstarts, lockouts, winch outs, and other services.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in operating manual transmission is a plus.
  • Strong backing skills are necessary!
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience with automotive diagnostics preferred.
  • The ability to operate various vehicles and heavy equipment is advantageous.
  • Previous experience operating a tow truck or similar equipment is a plus but will train the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Time management and self-discipline are essential.
